SJCAM SJ6 Legend is ready to capture your best moments
If you look closely at the specs of this new SJCAM SJ6 Legend you will find out that it is not a “big-bang” as the manufacturer promotes it. The SJ6 Legend camera features the same old Novatek 96660 imaging processor as the SJ5000X. Actually, there are many other action cameras that are using the same imaging unit (SoC) at a more friendly price. In my opinion, the biggest advantage of this SJCAM SJ6 Legend over them is the 2″ live-view LCD with a touch screen.
Although the SJ6 Legend is advertised with 4K video resolution, just like the Xiaomi Yi 4K, there is a big difference between these two action cameras. While the SJCAM SJ6 is capable to capture UHD videos with only 24fps the Xiaomi Yi 2 can record 4K videos with 30 fps. In terms of fps the SJCAM SJ6 Legend is much inferior to its competitor.
In order to allow 16MP photo resolution, the SJCAM SJ6 Legend adopts the MN34120PA imaging sensor from Panasonic (just like the older SJ5000+).
Additionally to the large 2-inch live-view display on the front side of the camera, there is a small status screen.
